ADMISSION PROCEDURES

ADMISSION PROCEDURES FOR THE ACADEMY OF CAREER TRAINING INCLUDE A PERSONAL INTERVIEW WITH OUR DIRECTOR, A MEETING WITH OUR FINANCIAL AID OFFICER TO DETERMINE FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, ALONG WITH COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF ALL REQUIRED FORMS.  AN APPLICANT'S ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND THE ACADEMY OF CAREER TRAINING IS BASED ON EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, PERSONAL INTERVIEW, AND A DEDICATION TO SUCCESS.  
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS  

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE TO THE COSMETOLOGY, BARBER STYLIST, SKIN CARE, NAIL TECHNOLOGY, FULL SPECIALTY OR MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM ARE:
  • PROOF OF HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED.  AN APPLICANT TO ANY PROGRAM WHO HAS NOT YET OBTAINED A GED, OR WHO CANNOT PROVIDE PROOF OF GRADUATION, MAY OBTAIN GED TESTING INFORMATION FROM THE ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT.   
  • STUDENTS WITHOUT PROOF OF HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA ARE ADMITTED INTO THE SCHOOL BY DEMONSTRATING ABILITY TO BENEFIT.  THE ABILITY TO BENEFIT IS MEASURED BY THE T.A.B.E. TEST.  
  • AN APPLICANT MUST BE BEYOND THE COMPULSORY AGE IN ORDER TO ATTEND A SECONDARY INSTITUTION.
