Front Desk Receptionist
Location: (On Site) Academy of Career Training
Employment Type: Full-Time $16-$18 per hour
About the Role
Prime Objective – To assist in maintaining our school standards and while striving to better serve our clients.
Responsibilities – As part of the team the Receptionist will take on a variety of responsibilities that include the following:
Greet clients.
Verify all appointments for the day.
Cash handling.
Take and distribute incoming phone calls.
Allocate any inquiries to the proper department.
Input student services daily.
Input and file monthly student services sheets.
Ensure that client information is updated.
Assist Director, Assistant Director and Instructors as needed.
Make certain that students are signing in at their arrival time.
Balance daily receipts.
Ensure client satisfaction.
Assist in enforcing school policies.
Promote any retail sales.
Promote and up sell all beauty services.
Assist with school inventory.
Keep desk and lobby area presentable.
Coordinate wait times for clients.
Endorse services for our new clientele.
Prepare next day assignments and appointments.
Instructor
Location: (On Site) Academy of Career Training
Employment Type: Part-Time $21-$23 per hour
About the Role
Prime Objective - To provide quality education to all students in all phases of our programs.
Educational Requirements
Active Cosmetology, Nail Technology, Barber, Skin Care, Skincare, Massage or Specialty License
At least 2 years salon experience
Preparation of Classroom for Lesson
Blackboard
Lesson plan
Books, materials, handouts
Supplies for demos need to be requested the day before.
Responsibilities – As part of the team the Instructor will take on a variety of responsibilities that include the following:
Follow daily curriculum.
Prepare own lesson plan
Take and record attendance.
Evaluate and test students as scheduled.
Ensure all workbooks and assignments are completed.
Counsel students if necessary.
Ensure clean-up is done and instructor's area is clean.
Keep up to date on techniques.
Keep students busy at all times through motivation.
Treat everyone fairly.
All supplies are to be dispensed from the dispensary; students are not to be in the dispensary unsupervised.
Clients are to be assigned according to daily roster, which is based on students' arrival at school. First student in gets the first client and so on. Only requests supersede this.
When not busy with clients, students are to be working on manikins or assignments in their workbook.
All work performed by students on clients is to be checked and recorded.
The daily curriculum that is taught that day is to be recorded.
Instructors are to wear black jackets at all times along with dress code as stated in the handbook.
Instructors are not to leave their class unattended.
All rules, regulations, policies and procedures as outlined in catalogs and handbooks are to be followed
